Custom Design Process
The first step is get a good understanding of what you're looking for. We generally start with phone or video consultation to discuss the details of the project and get a sense of your space, style, specs. From there we create a scaled sketch and custom color samples (if applicable) of your design. We will then send details and pricing options for your review. Once we are aligned and payment is made, we will begin fabrication. Production time varies depending the complexity of the piece.
Vinyl Record Storage
Generally speaking every 1” of storage space can hold about 6 standard vinyl albums.
Materials & Finishing
We offer a wide range of standard materials and finishing. We also are able to custom match just about any color or finish. We generally use conversion varnish across all of our pieces. Conversion varnish offers the most durable natural looking finish available.
We use a mix of hardwoods, veneers and composite materials in our furniture. We use the highest quality materials our furniture to create stable and timeless items that should last a lifetime.
Every piece of wood is different so each piece we make will feature different grain patterns and designs. No two are completely alike and we try to find the most interesting patterns for each piece.
Processing Time
Each piece of furniture is handcrafted to your exact specifications. As our cabinets are built-to-order, please allow 12–14 weeks for custom fabrication.
Shipping & Delivery
FREE Shipping & Delivery Standard orders include free fully insured, US curbside shipping. Your furniture arrives fully assembled and professionally secured in a custom box or wooden crate; please note that a drill may be required to open the packaging.
White Glove Service For added convenience, white glove delivery is available at checkout. This service includes professional movers who will place the item in your room of choice and remove all packaging materials.
*Access: White glove service includes up to one flight of stairs. For additional stairs or special access considerations (narrow turns, small elevators, etc.), please email hello@tactileaudiofurniture.com for a custom quote tailored to your space.
*Availability: White glove service pricing and availability are subject to your delivery location. We will be in touch if there are any logistical conflicts based on your location.
International Orders We can ship internationally. Email us as hello@tactilewoodshop.com to inquire about an international order.
Returns & Exchanges
Because we hand-make everything to order, all sales are final. We don't offer cancellations or refunds on custom orders once materials are procured. That said, we will work with you to determine the best remedy if something goes wrong and are fully committed to making things right. Full and partial refunds, exchanges and repairs are generally offered if there is a defect or damage upon receipt. Any damage or defect must be communicated within 14 days of receipt. We will opt to secure local professional repair where it makes sense. We will cover the expenses of having the product returned or replaced if that's warranted. In the case of a refund, the cabinet must returned in good condition prior to any refund. Customer is responsible for proper return packaging.
Payment
Payment is generally due in full and required before fabrication begins. There are no refunds once we begin working on your piece. We go through great lengths upfront make sure we are capturing all the details of what you'd like so that we can create something you will love.
